Lessons from Past Events: What We’ve Learned

Updated: Mar 25

Every event we plan teaches us something new. From weddings to corporate events and memorial services, each experience refines our expertise. Here are some valuable lessons we’ve gathered along the way:

🔹 Expect the Unexpected – Outdoor weddings? Always have a backup indoor space or tent. Sudden weather changes can happen!

🔹 Personal Touches Make a Big Difference – Custom decorations, handwritten notes, or a signature scent create unforgettable memories.

🔹 Communication is Key – Clear expectations and updates between the client and event planner prevent last-minute surprises.

One of our favorite success stories? We once planned a funeral service for a diaspora client where the surviving spouse requested fairy lights inside the house and around the yard. Upon arrival they discovered their solar system was not working for us to be able to put up our fairy lights, the client was heart-broken and disappointed as she wanted light to shine and go with her husband. but with quick problem-solving and coordination and creativity we managed to DIY most of our electricity/power powered fairy lights in battery powered. The fairy lights lit up the night, representing guidance, leading the departed soul to peace and offering comfort to the grieving.
